Hey. I just wanted to welcome another new sponsor to our ranks -- certainly someone who is familiar to all of us -- Craig Lavin. ( http://www.handcraftinlay.com )

If you are just tuning in Craig is an amazing inlay artist and can really add a nice touch to your instruments and custom commissions.

Here is a piece he did for me.

Welcome To the Sponsorship Craig.

My brother has it wrong. Sponsors are supposed to sponsor not be sponsored. I think free gas for all our cars would be nice. We would all be your best friend.

Craig is doing an inlay for one of my guitars that has a bird dog on the peghead, pointing down the fretboard at a bunch of running quail as fingerboard markers.

The dog is done which matched the picture that the client sent of his pooch perfectly.

It was an easy decision. You guys have always been there for me, so there is little to debate. I truly love this forum, and the members are awesome.

That said- since this is about advertising I thought I would outline my commisson process for those that don't already know-

1) All of my art is original and non-repeated.

2) I will do logos, small items, etc.. Not everyone wants complex stuff all the time, and I need to keep running For this all I need is the artwork, and I can normally get it done in under 2 weeks time.
I will also cut and ship pieces for smaller things.
I do not like to just cut and ship more complex art items because I like to be the one engraving and finishing the piece. Many of my inlays have non-traditional aspects to them added during finishing.

3) It all starts (for original art) with a $50.00 drawing deposit which is then included in the final price. I will draw repeatedly until you are happy with the design for no additional drawing fee. The rest of the inlay is priced by the hour. Highly engraved complex pieces can take many hours. My rates are similar to other high end inlayers.

4) I will send pictures at all steps of the design process to make sure you are happy.

That's it! It's easier than you may think.

Thanks, and I hope to help alot of you out for smaller and special inlays!

Oh- also- I don't ship anything unless it's perfect. I have repeated entire inlays due to my being unhappy with them, but that doesn't heppen all too often, so don't worry!

As far as raising bars I feel in good company, but thanks!
